Born and Raised in Tasmania, Australia. Michelle Has been interested in the creative industries since she can remember.
In High School she designed the cover for the school magazine and helped lay out the book long before she considered that it could be something she could pursue in later life. She dreamed of being an Secondary Art Teacher. Michelle started a Hairdressing apprenticeship in 1997 thinking that it would fulfill her creative needs in a work environment. She took extra classes in the field of Beauty Therapy and continued working in the industry for many years whilst starting on her further education in the Visual Arts. Michelle started with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Visual Arts, History, Sociology and English Literature. During this time she decided to found a Community Arts Centre in her regional town of Wynyard. This centre provided the base for her next degree, a Masters in Contemporary Arts (Gallery Practices).
After the birth of her first baby in 2008, Michelle, started a Certificate III in Printing and Graphic Design. This led her to work in publishing at Tagari , Sisters Creek, as a desktop publisher for the father of Permaculture Bill Mollison.
During this time Michelle began the successful monthly handmade makers market in town, Made With Love Market Bazaar, which she managed for a number of years before passing it on.
Michelle began her last degree in Secondary Teaching to finally fulfill her dream of becoming a Visual Arts teacher. After graduation, Michelle  gained a teaching position, mainly in Photography, but was blessed with her second baby, delaying her teaching career.

Michelle is still active in the community arts and its Community Arts Centre. Michelle has begun perusing a photography career and still enjoys doing freelance graphic design work. She also is actively developing and exhibiting her own body of work. Her love for the arts has never left and she is excited about the art adventures that will arise in the future.
