Yesterday I trawled the oppies - it had been awhile but this little baby of a side table made it all worth while. I paid $35 for this little beauty (steep in thrifting standards) but totes worth it. I am planning to add it to my growing collection of things I am adding to my future bedroom reno. My only regret was there wasn't two.

Now I dont usually like posing for the cameras but I have to say something.
Whilst trawling the oppies I was constantly looked up and down by others (mainly in track pants) like I shouldn't have been there. I got blocked out of racks and generally encountered rudeness from other customers. This hasn't really happened to me before, its not a general occurrence.

So I started thinking - why? The only thing I could come up with was that maybe I wasn't welcome to shop there? Too posh for an op shop?

Well I can tell you (and track pant wearers) that I do indeed belong there. My wardrobe is nearly all thrifted (except for tights and undergarments). I worked out that this outfit that I wore yesterdays cost me under $20 including the boots. It's unfortunate that you cant see the lovely lace features on the black dress  but I can tell you it is lovely.

So to all you track pant wearing judgy wudgy people - you can go jump. Just because I dress nice and not in track pants does not imply that I shouldn't be in a thrift shop. So there.

Now lets not bring this up again as I don't really like seeing myself in a picture.
