Garden 2012

I have been a little slack with any garden posts but even though its not recorded on my blog the life cycle continues. With summer upon us the growing season is in full swing and things are - lets say - getting out of control once more.

Quick Update :
#The artichokes are doing amazing
#The beans and peas are thriving
#My new fig tree cuttings are coming along (well the ones the cows didn't pull out - lesson learned, don't place too close to the paddock fence)
#Brilliant little acorn seedling I sprouted from one I picked up at Port Arthur on our last caravan holiday, I love that we are sprouting from that genus
#Last year it was attack of the zucchini and this year my ONE zucchini plant is doing well (another lesson learned)
#Last year in the herb spiral it was attack of the chamomile, this year it is attack of the mint and oregano (desperately need a good recipe for buckets of oregano)
#For some reason my potato patch isn't doing as well as last year and I have been wondering if this was just me or if others were having the same issue this year? However I have been buying some lovely organic potatoes off a farmer at our market - nom nom
#Fruit trees that I planted last year are going fab - loads of fruit on them already and its only their second year in

Gardening is truly good for the soul - organics are good for the body - summer is good for happiness.
