ArtsCape Yarn Bomb

This weekend is one of the biggest in our town. It's Tulip Festival time!!! The Made With Love Market is on so of course its going to be a full day for little old me.

In preparation a few of us stitchy ladies did some Yarn Bombing in the area - showing off the artiest street in our village. We have the Table Cape Art Circle exhibiting down the road, the Wonders of Wynyard having an exhibition, our Designers Market and Art displaying at the Artscape Building and lastly the Camera Club in the Community hall,  all within 300 metres of each other. I think it all smells very "arty" to me.

The art centre committee is also planning a communtiy art project that every one can join in on the day - a lovely big mural should brighten the place up for a while. Due to council regulations we have to keep everything temporary which is a shame but least we are trying to put some culture into the town, every bit helps.

The market is fully booked again - with some new designers attending - a very full outside space - the farmers market happening and some baby goats for the kids to pet.
I'm so pumped for this weekend. Stay tuned for the photo's.

Lastly please check out a lovely article we had posted about us here... and thankyou again for all your lovely support...did you know that next month is the Markets 2nd Birthday :)
It's enough to bring a girl to tears...good tears.
