Big Red Couch Make Over

I love this retro couch. I bought it off an old hairdressing client of mine for $150 bucks after she died. As she was house bound i used to go to her to do her hair regularly. I admired this couch and its two club chairs every time i went there. When i heard she had passed and they were cleaning out the house i was delighted to find out that the family didn't want it. Unfortunately it is getting tireder by the year..more cracks appearing and the poor seats have completely lost it. I plan on getting it out of the rumpus soon and put it in our new retro social (party) shed we are currently building.

While cleaning out of sewing supplies i came across a bunch of upholstery swatches that i had no use for. Some i had been given and some i had collected. So with my over locker i joined them together and made covers for the seats out of it. Two jobs done at once.... a clean out and a project that had needed to be done for a while. I am still working on the matching seats but i will post them soon... right now i am "dead wooding" my art studio.

All this cleaning out makes me feel lighter after the rough week i have had. I feel better already.
Happy Easter Everyone and Stay Safe.
