Rock MY Roll

You may remember my Hexagon quilt find. Then again you may not as it was like .....months ago....well i have been slowly putting in the hours on the couch to do up this thing. I think i can say now that i have successfully replaced the battered hexagons....phew. I refused to start another quilt until i could put this one behind me. Even though i have been itching to make new ones.

So i did the right thing...then i started on the back. In my head this was going to be the fab'est quilt
Some how amongst the madness of putting too much effort into the back i created something i really love. I asked for advice from Claire and i got the answer i wanted...that these should become two quilts, not one...Hoorah!!

Unfortunately i have to focus on market sewing this week and I'm not going to be able to spend heaps of time getting them to the next stage this week ...but next week...look out.....I'm going to be quilted up!

My new quilt states "Rock My Roll" and the centre is from a tablecloth. The outer sides i have used vintage and new materials. I created a diamond pattern around the centre. I have one more row to do on the outside before it the right size for the blanket i am putting inside. I am super happy with it and a little proud that i got most of the lines straight....i said most....a professional quilter i am not.
