Busy Bee

A lot of my sewing lately has been for our "Made with Love" market bazaar. As you can see above i have been creating more dresses to sell. I adore this pattern because it can be worn on little girls from ages 0 till 3. It starts off as a dress but migrates into a top as they get older. There are not many garments that your child can wear for a good three years!!!

Over the Christmas break I made a little bag for Miss G's new portable DVD player (a saviour on long caravanning road trips) and a DVD holder case to carry just the disks in. I was so not putting up with lugging all the cases around as well....i need as much room in the car for my vinnies finds!!

The first morning after i had made the DVD case, i was still in bed, and Miss G walked in carrying the bag around already. I guess that's means it was a hit!! She picked out the fabric the night before so i guess she knew it was hers. I included two pouches inside so that accessories can be lugged about. Secured with Velcro.

I just made the pattern up as I went along. On the edges i sewed on my machine some fancy edges (impossible to get a good pic of). It just "makes" the bags.

Hope you managed to get your creative on...and thank goodness "My Creative Space" is back. I missed it so much. Thursdays just weren't the same without a bit of craft stalking.
