Publishing fun.

I have been workign for a publishing company for 6 months now. I am laying out the books of Bill Mollison. The Permaculture Guru. Google Tagari or Bill Mollison and you will see what i mean....hes kind of famous everywhere but in his native land, Tasmania.
The project i have been working on is this one.... the book of "Ferment and Human Nutrition." Fasinating book....some things interesting some things just plain gross..but all worth while information.

The new version will look nothing like this one. Becasue of its rarity it sells for a huge sum...secondhand. I found this one on Amazon for $340.00...i'm not joking. But soon it will be back on the market so i expect prices to come down.....
I have even managed to squeeze in some of my illustrations! i can officially claim to be an illustrator!
The blurb from amazon goes....
"A practical handbook about the astonishing range of ferments, that is more than just a recipe book. Written to help people store and process their own food and make their own ingredients. A survival handbook which is of great use to farmers trying to vary their resources by adding value to their crops. As an essential companion to the gardener and cook, it takes the mystery out of the complex fermentation process and enables us to plan our crops around the end product of a rich and nutritious diet. If you love food this is for you."

My next project involves a book on Potatoes....i will be an expert on them in a few months.

Now i have been exposed to the publishing industry i realise i am quite capable of laying out why not incorporate that with what i love....crafting/sewing/crochet. I have been working on a few original patterns and would love to put a book together....but i need friends. Would anybody like to contribute their original patterns? Would you like to be a part of the publishing adventure? If so then drop me an email...or comment...we could be famous!
