Mixtape Zine

Today i received my first copy of the Zine Mix Tape....i think i am in love.
Its juicyness is right up my alley...crafty goodness, exploding with design and matters of the home.
Made in Melbourne by a talented couple and contributed to by various others.
In their own words....." mixtape is a craft maga(ZINE) about making time for the small things!
mixtape is a collision of craft, eco-cool and pop culture kitsch."....why..yes it is...thankyou for making it to share with us. The wonderful Melbourness vibe really ooze's out of this small book....home made, cute, inventive, independent and ultra cooool.

(If you don't know what a Zine is...google it now so you can pronounce it to all your friends when you discuss this around the water cooler, pot of tea...whatever.)

So now i would really like to create one of my own...a zine that is. I have had one go at making my own but it was only drawings on a single sheet of paper that can be folded into a small book.

At the vary least i would like to contribute to the Mix tape one and i have begun thinking about what sort of article i would like to add...crochet tutorial...sewing pattern...art work or just various ramblings ...perhaps even an extend story of one of my blogs. The article only has to be 500 words so i think i could manage to ramble for that...not a hard task lets be honest (hairdresser in me...geez i guess i could write about that too).

Is there anyone out in Blog land that might also be interested in creating or contributing to a Zine? Let me know....

So i think you should ramble over to the Mixtape site and grab yourself a copy...only 10 bucks plus postage...limited to 1000 copies each issue.
