Hello..my name is Michelle and i am an obssesive hoarder.

I'm not sure where my compulsion comes to holding on to things ...there is no need. I mean lets be honest, who needs three FULL bags of scraps of fabric. Perhaps it stems from not having much as a kid. Even then i had a compulsion to buy countless note books/craft items with my pocket money, keeping them in storage for just the right project.

At the present time i have a full glory box full of wool, my studio packed with painting equipment, craft items and found objects (my favorite being vintage wall papers i have been finding along the way). I am beginning to run out of places to store (hide) my many treasures.

When it comes to my sewing i have been collecting....ok ok hoarding....fabrics mainly vintage fabrics but i will also collect (hoard) sale items from spotlight. I also have a large box full of socks for sock monkeys and draws full of lace, buttons and various other sewing musts. My favorite fabric finds right now have been old bead sheets and curtains. They have the best retro colours and patterns...plus plenty of material.

When it come to make a project i find i still might go out buying my materials as i cant bear to use some of my favorite fabrics...this is ridiculous....i have no cure..there is no need...the world will continue to manufacture craft goods...people will still throw out there unwanted fabrics to vinnies (thankyou by the way).

So thats it. I wont change. I cant change....let just deal with it and rejoyce in the wonderful found treasures and perhaps even try to turn some of it into a product at some stage......perhaps.
